CROWNED REGAL

This is my story about a journey to self acceptance through shock, shame, guilt, denial, strength and other things inside of me that ultimately lead to a rediscovery of myself. Being bald is no laughing matter, especially for women and children for whom bountiful, healthy locks are so closely associated.

I have alopecia.

Read Crowned Regal's up close and candid journey to self-acceptance, which lead to ultimate the acceptance of others.

From this experience emerged the most beautifully human "realization of self" one could ever experience.

Alopecia - the complete or partial loss of hair - comes in many forms and is attributed to numerous causes - ranging from autoimmune disorders to unhealthy hair care practices. Many mistakenly associate Alopecia with the effects of cancer treatment and the sick. To the contrary, many afflicted with Alopecia often live healthy and productive lives. But living with Alopecia in a society that views hair as a sign of health, beauty and status can be emotionally and socially devastating, particularly for women and children.
